Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek

Beautiful accommodations in a picturesque area. Food was delicious. Was at a private conference and we had the banquet hall below the restaurant to ourselves. They had a buffet style lunch and dinner. Breakfast was the typical continental meal on the second floor. Various options for all diets. Nice hotel accommodations. There's an indoor pool and hot tub, as well as a gym.

The accommodations are excellent! The inn is warm and cozy. You feel more like at a cottage or inn than a hotel. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. We gave 4 stars instead of 5 for service only because some housekeeping staff seemed not sure what was included in the request to freshen up the bathroom. But to their credit, they would ask and we would clarify: clean toilet, shower, sinks, new towels and empty trash. DEFINITELY going again many times more!!!

From the moment you drive onto the campus, you are aware of the cleanliness and beauty of the place. Checking in at the front desk is a pleasant experience. We can’t say enough about Akua, the breakfast hostess. She goes above and beyond to provide a wonderful meal for the start of your day. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Truly a wonderful place to stay. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful.

It was such a pleasure staying with you!! It is a very beautiful building and area. The rooms were very nice and clean. Had plenty of amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Randy for jumping our car. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and had a lot of variety. The lady that takes care of it did a wonderful job keeping things filled and clean. We appreciated her hard work. The restaurant, bakery, gift store and geneal store made things very convenient since we didn’t have a lot of time between classes. The food was great and the prices for the sandwiches at the store were very reasonable and well made. It would be nice to have one more bread selection like wheat bread. They could teach Subway a thing or two. The ladies in the store were very friendly! We will definitely be back to visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This Inn is really great for large family gatherings. We had 22 (mostly kids) and the kids absolutely had a great time! It seemed short staffed. The drink/snack area was not kept up with. Garbage was very full and the drink station was spilling and I cleaned the hot cocoa area and drip pan out.They have large hang out areas next to the pool. Cookies and popcorn nightly. Coffee/cocoa and tea 24/7. The rooms are very nice but they’re not well lit. We had a king and the bedding is lacking. They had 4 flat queen pillows on a king bed. The beds are not great. The sugar creek shopping area was very cute and the theater looks like it would be great (we didn’t go). The gift store was so great! (Directly across from the Inn). Very kid and family friendly!

Loved staying here! Our room was clean and we had a great view of the hillsides. The complementary breakfast was nice. Our check-in host assured that she could be of service if it was needed. Enjoyed The fireplace and the excellent seating. I’m sure we will return someday. The staff was very friendly and we appreciate that.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay very much! Everything had an Amish vibe, from the huge cozy living room with comfy couches and chairs to nap by the fireplace,to the homey Amish theme hallways to the bedrooms . I say bedroom,not hotel room because it is that homey. You felt right at home amish style ,and not just at a hotel .The breakfast was always nice and there are so many gathering areas that made it perfect for getting together with the group. We couldn't use our private deck because of the freezing cold and snow, but that is a great addition to the room. The trainig rooms were great, complete with beautiful Amish scene pictures.The hall ways and bathrooms offer the same spacious Amish touchs as well. This is truly a one of a kind experience. We are so glad we came,and we hated to leave.

Beautiful hotel! We love the classic, warm decorating and how spacious everything is from the grand entrance and hallways to the gathering areas on first and second floors and rooms themselves. The check-in at the desk was a little slow, but everything else was seamless. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are lovely snacks (cookies and fresh-made popcorn, cocoa, and tea) in the evening, and a nice breakfast with options to include scrambled eggs, sausage links, hard boiled eggs, fruit, applesauce, waffles, cereal, yogurt, and half-size (in a good way!) cream sticks. The lady who runs the breakfast area is kind, observant, helpful, and on top of things. When we went to load the car in the morning there were two ladies from housekeeping keeping the foyer in tip-top shape - one ran the vaccum while the other wet mopped the luxury vinyl portions of the flooring. Great impression! Met another lady from housekeeping on the elevator who could not have been sweeter. Nice staff! We saw a 7:00 p.m. show at the Ohio Star Theater, and it was so convenient to have the hotel so close after the show.
